Israel & The End Times

1 Chronicles 12:32:

“And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do…”

As end-time believers, we are living in a very strategic hour. If we ever needed God we need Him now. This is not an hour for the Body of Messiah to become lazy. This is the time for boldness and for demonstrations of power.

In the Bible, among the children of Israel, there were certain men from the tribe of of Issachar had an understanding of the times and the ability to interpret the Word of God in season.

“As Believers, God wants us to discern the times in which we live so we can prosper in every season and have wisdom to advance the kingdom of God.”

The children of Issachar had an understanding of the times for their nation and for their people.

Likewise, as intercessors we must have an understanding of the times in which we live, for our nation and for our people.

The Battle For Jerusalem

Intercessors must also have an understanding of the importance of Israel: God’s prophetic timepiece. Throughout the Holy Scriptures, the Lord has given us the key to help us understand the events of the end-times, that key is the nation of Israel. Israel is God’s prophetic time piece and the centerpiece of biblical prophecy.

As intercessors it is imperative that we understand the importance of Israel as a nation and as a people. God’s covenant with Israel is eternal and irrevocable. We must intercede for Israel according to the word of God. We must love Israel because God loves Israel. We must love what God loves.

Psalms 122:6

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love you.”

Psalms 137:5

“If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her skill.”

Psalms 152:2

“As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, from this time forth and forevermore.

Zechariah 12:9

“And on that day I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.”

The Bible warns us that in the latter days there will be a final battle for Jerusalem. Jerusalem is the eternal city of God. Jesus will return and when He does He will rule and reign from Zion.

Psalms 2:1-6

“Why do the heathen rage and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.”

The warfare concerning Israel is not only ancient it is supernatural. The word of God tells us that Yeshua, the Messiah, will rule and reign from Zion. Thus, we understand that the spiritual warfare concerning Jerusalem is regarding the coming of His Majesty.”

Zechariah 8:2-3

This is what the Lord Almighty says: “I am very jealous for Zion; I am burning with jealousy for her. This is what the Lord says: “I will return to Zion and dwell in Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the Faithful City, and the mountain of the Lord Almighty will be called the Holy Mountain.”

The new world order is nothing new. From his revolt in heaven – until now Satan’s goal is to unite the rebellious against God in order to establish his own kingdom, his own government, and to be worshipped as God. According to (2 Thessalonians 2:4), Satan wants to establish his reign – In Jerusalem. Thus, the battle over Jerusalem is very volatile – a battle between good and evil – light and darkness.

“As Believers, we must have an understanding of God’s redemptive purpose to restore a fallen earth and fallen humanity back to the perfect order that God had originally intended at creation. Every generation believes that their generation could be the one that sees the return of Messiah. As children of God, it is our nature to long for Messiah’s redemption and to be in union with Him.”

Timothy 2:4-8

“Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”

“The story of humanity began in a paradise. The story of humanity will culminate in an everlasting paradise. From beginning to end – God has laid out His plan for His people. He is the Alpha and the Omega. What God starts – He will finish!”

Hebrews 10:37

“For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.”

Revelations 22:12-13

“And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.”

As end-time believers we have a front row seat to breaking news as time races forward to the second coming of Yeshua the Messiah. Therefore, be steadfast. Watch and pray.
