Advanced Spiritual Warfare: Possessing The Gates of Victory
The Jewish celebration of Purim begins at sundown tonight (3/20/2019). Purim is the celebration of the victory the Jewish people experienced from the plot of Haman to annihilate the Jews while in captivity in the Medo-Persian Empire found in the book of Esther. In this biblical account, God demonstrated His unique and sovereign protection and preservation of His chosen people – through whom it had been prophesied that our Savior would come.
Why is Purim Important to Believers?
The Bible tells us that the stories and events recorded therein serve as examples to us of how we should live at the end of time.
1 Corinthians 10:11:
“Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages have come.”
The story of Purim is filled with lessons about God’s sovereign providence, as well as principles of ultimate justice and vindication against our enemies. God will never leave us in the hands of our enemies. His assistance will overcome all advantages of number and strength of those that defy those who put their trust in Him.
In this season of redemption and breakthrough, may every assignment of the enemy that has fought against your peace, fought against your breakthrough, and fought against your purpose FALL after the order of HAMAN!
I declare over you this day that you shall have PEACE. You shall have JOY. You shall walk upon God’s HIGH PLACES!
